Kittens-Spring has Sprung!
Kitten season is here and we have tons of kittens already (37 cats & kittens!). Foster and Forever homes are needed!! Kittens stay healthier in homes and benefit from the extra socialization. If you are interested in adopting or if you have room in your home to foster some kittens until they are old enough to be adopted, please fill out our Adoption Application to get started.
MHF Grooming Salon
We are expanding the Grooming Salon. Welcome back to Sam Carroll-Jones! She worked as Animal Care many years ago at MHF. She went on to start her own grooming business. She will be returning to groom on Saturdays & Liz’s days off, so the salon will be open almost every day.
Giving Back Feed Program
A huge thank you to Tri-County Feeds, Fashions, and Finds (TCFFF) for their continued support year after year. We are honored to announce that the Middleburg Humane Foundation is now a part of Tri-County's Giving Back Program. Tri-County will be donating a portion of the proceeds from the sale of their branded TCF Horse Feeds to the rescue and rehabilitation efforts for less fortunate equines through programs offered by the Equine Rescue League and the Middleburg Humane Foundation.

Humane Tethering Code-Fauquier County
Summer heat is here! Keep them inside!
HUMANE TETHERING CODE is now in effect:
Thanks to the hard work and commitment of many, no dogs can be left outside on a chain when the temperature is above 90 degrees or below 32 degrees in Fauquier County! PLEASE keep your eyes open and if you see a dog tethered and it is above 90 degrees or below 32, call animal control or MHF so we can assure the owners are aware of this new law and help get the dog indoors.
